In a match that embodied the drama of European football, the Parisians did all kinds of wonders by rallying to two goals and eventually winning it on penalties to claim the 2025 UEFA Super Cup at Udine’s Bluenergy Stadium. For PSG, they glory in their first ever Super Cup title, cementing their position as comeback kings in Europe.
First Half: Defensive Masterclass from Spurs.
Tottenham started strong, taking advantage of PSG’s shaky defense. They scored first in the 38th minute when Micky van de Ven tapped in a loose ball after PSG’s new goalkeeper, Lucas Chevalier, pushed a free-kick onto the bar. Right after halftime, Cristian Romero made it 2-0 with a strong header from a Pedro Porro cross, as Chevalier couldn’t hold onto the ball.
Second Half: PSG’s Resurgence
Luis Enrique’s substitutions proved to be decisive. Kang-in Lee scored in the 85th minute and brought hope with a 20-yard rocket, while Goncalo Ramos who scored in 90+4 produced the dramatic equalizer, heading Dembele’s perfect cross to force penalties which ended in 4-3
It’s a historic night for PSG as they become the first French club to win the Super Cup and five trophies in a calendar year.
